About

Hello, and welcome to my online home. My name is Ashleigh, and I’m a journalist, book lover, homemaker, adventure seeker and new mum to Phoebe.

I’m a writer through-and-through. I’ve been writing stories for as long as I can remember and fell head-over-heels in love with magazines in my teenage years. That was when I knew that I wanted writing to be my job.

Now, at almost 30 years old, I’m a journalist, a blogger and an aspiring YA author. I’m also a first time mum. You’ve stumbled across my blog, which started out life as a book-focused space several years ago but has since evoled into a lifestyle blog that I just don’t want to limit. Here, you’ll find plenty of geekery and tons of book chat but also posts about parenting, home, travel and more.

I’m not going to pretend I know what I’m talking about when it comes to parenting, or home, or really anything at all, but I’m learning and I love sharing the things I learn with others. I’m also fully aware that a good blog normally has a niche, and my blog pretty much encompasses everything you can think of. But I have decided that’s ok because I love blogging and I want to be able to write about anything that takes my fancy.

So who is Ashleigh Online for? It’s for avid readers, fashion newbies, chic geeks, budget beauty fans, adventurers, wedding planners and home improvers, new parents and parents-to-be. It’s for blog lovers like me who aren’t quite cool enough to fully relate to the completely fashionable and very nearly perfect bloggers (who I still love, by the way) but still want to try new makeup and clothes and read new books and visit new places. This is an honest blog from a girl who’s just like you.

You are more than welcome to contact me at ashleighmacro@gmail.com if you have a book or product you’d like me to review, or if you just want to say hi.

You can also connect with me on InstagramTwitter and Goodreads. I’d love for you to get in touch.

If you want to read the stuff I actually get paid to write, you’ll find my articles on Macworld, Tech Advisor and Digital Arts.

Please note: I’m part of affiliate schemes, which means that I may make a tiny bit of commission if you buy something after clicking on a link to a retailer on this website. I’d like to say thank you so much for that! It’s a very small fee but every little helps me keep this blog going 🙂
