Kate Ling’s The Truth of Different Skies is one of the books I am most looking forward to reading this year, which is why I’m so excited to be bringing you your first look at its beautiful cover.
The Truth of Different Skies is part of the Ventura Saga, which began with The Loneliness of Distant Beings (one of my favourite books ever), followed by an equally incredible sequel, The Glow of Fallen Stars. It’s the perfect blend of space, dystopia and forbidden romance, with an important message about mental health woven throughout it. I can’t tell you how much I have loved it so far, and I’m sure you will too.
Now, we’re being treated to a prequel to the series in the form of The Truth of Different Skies. It’s set to be perfect for fans of the saga, but also a great introduction to the series that can be read even if you’ve yet to get your hands on the first two books. We’ll get to know new characters destined for great adventures, and I’m sure we’re going to fall in love with them as much as we did with Seren, Ezra, Dom and Marianne.
And of course, if you haven’t read the first two books but think you’ll like them (you will!), you can buy The Loneliness of Distant Beings from Amazon here, and The Glow of Fallen Stars from Amazon here.
The cover of The Truth of Different Skies is gorgeous, as can be expected from this saga. I’ve also got the blurb to share with you, and I think it’s safe to say that it sounds amazing.
So, without further ado, it’s time for what you’ve all been waiting for. YAY.

The Truth of Different Skies Blurb
What makes you abandon your world? How do you say goodbye when it’s forever? A heart-breaking story about survival, love and hope. For fans of Meg Rosoff and Beth Revis.
‘I’ve always feared this place would keep me rooted forever… but now, without gravity, I’m flying, floating, falling.’
Bea feels trapped. Having never left her small town and with no money or anyone to rely on, she faces the inevitable future of a dead-end job – forced to survive, rather than live.
When a message arrives from space, a mission is planned to travel to its source. Bea knows she has to be chosen to go, no matter what it takes, even though it means leaving Earth forever. Her life has to matter.
Except she didn’t plan on falling in love before she left…
