Dark Heart Forever by Lee Monroe review

Dark Heart Forever – Lee Monroe

It was the cover that first attracted me to Lee Monroe’s Dark Heart Forever, another teenage fantasy novel about Werewolves, Vampires and other mythical creatures that keep cropping up in bookshops these days.

When I first began reading it, I really didn’t like, or connect with, Jane, the main character in the story. The love triangle between her, Evan and Luca was actually getting on my nerves.

But, thankfully, it’s easy to read Dark Heart Forever, so I quickly got past the irritating and not very well developed mush and was pleasantly surprised by what was out the other side.

The world Jane visits is intriguing and believable, and the slightly predictable but not unsatisfactory twists made this cute novel worth a read.

Not earth-shattering or mind-blowing, but a nice novel to keep you company on a summer’s evening. I’ll definitely read the next book in the series at some point in the future.

My Rating:

**** 4/5
